The problem

Writing them is easy. Finding them is the problem.

You wrote a good prompt last Tuesday. It is in a note, or a chat you have scrolled past, or a file called prompts-final-2.md. Finding it costs you the thread you were holding.

How it works

Put it on a key. Press the key.

  1. 01

Put a prompt on a key.

Label it. It syncs to your account.

  2. 02

    Press the chord anywhere.

⌃⌥ and a number. Any app, any window.

  3. 03

    It lands at your cursor.

No window switch. No clipboard hunt.

Composition

Prompts fill each other in.

Leave a hole in a prompt and any other key can fill it — eight levels deep. One key for the instruction, one for the tone, and neither gets written twice.

Drag any key onto a hole and it fills it. Here {{audience}} is filled by For execs.

Engineering

3.8 MB. Native Swift.

Real window translucency, not a CSS imitation. Hotkeys registered the way macOS wants them, so ⌃⌥1 never leaks a stray 1 into your document. It updates itself, checks the signature first, and keeps the permissions you already granted.

Questions

Before you download.

Does it need Accessibility permission?

Yes, to paste for you. Clipboard-only mode works without it.

Which Macs?

Apple silicon, macOS 13 and up.

Where do my prompts live?

Your account, synced between the Mac deck and the web deck. Answers you type into a hole stay on your machine and are never synced.

Is it free?

Yes.

Keep your best prompts on a keyboard.
